Bank of Canada Governor Mark
Carney gave a statement last year that $526 billion idle money is gathering
dust in the banks belongs to non-financial industrial corporates of Canada, (In
united states it could be $5 trillion).
More and more corporates are
hiring their employees from Agencies as corporate houses do not want to share
any social responsibility by providing a permanent employment hence a large
work force of millions in Ontario in particular and in Canada as whole is
sweating for Agencies for a minimum wages. It’s a matter of study to know what
is the contribution to GDP of Ontario/Canada by a temporary workers hired by
the agencies? 99% workers are in trap of Agencies and are actually a victims of
brutal system of this modern slavery developed by Canada where educated, professionals
like Engineers, Teachers, Diploma holders of various streams are working on minimum
wages as laborer. They are creating large surplus values for their employers
over the years thus Mr. Mark Carney spoke only a half truth. Mr. Carney, its
stolen money from workers. Please make them realize (your Corporates clients)
that they should start hiring people on permanent
basis so that they could enjoy the economic liberty, build their credit
history, allow them to buy their houses, allow them to shop all house hold
items which you are producing day in day out. Temp Worker is a short term benefit
to Employers as it gives him instant cash saving, but it’s a long term loss to all
corporates, economy of the nation and a visible threat GDP as well since it
restrict the purchase power of vast working class.
If Inc. Canada is really worried
about nation’s economy, they should start hiring workers on permanent basis and
give them all benefits which they deserve. Not only that, they should also
raise the minimum wages to improve the purchasing power of working class since
it does not only work for them but they are a potential market in themselves
too. By giving them this power, actually they will be strengthening themselves and
Canada as well.
